Fall 2016

For the 2016 fall semester, Hello World will be partnering with select schools in the Austin area.

Our 10-week, school-based programs feature project-based learning experiences centered on mastering concepts in four emerging technology fields – web development, mobile app development, data science, and artificial intelligence.

Our computer science program is open to all levels and will differentiate based on previous exposure to engineering concepts, with the ultimate aim of laying the foundation for successful careers in tomorrow’s technology-driven world and building skills and confidence in STEM subjects.

Students will engage in full cycles of the design thinking process to apply learnings and define, ideate, prototype, and test solutions to real world challenges.

All weekly sessions will take place on campus at participating schools with a 5:1 student to instructor ratio. Additional programming outside of weekly sessions will take place off-site in IBM’s innovation lab and at the Google Fiber space in downtown Austin and will include events such as a student panel, tech hackathon, and student pitch competition.
